Giant Calligraphy Brush | New Weapon for Dungeons & Dragons Fifth Edition

This is a quick request, but it was pretty straight forward. Basically, one of my patrons wanted me to create a giant calligraphy brush that a monk could do combat with.

Weapons are funny in Fifth Edition. There aren’t a whole lot of new places to go with them. Regardless, I came up with this idea.

Giant Calligraphy Brush

Simple Melee Weapon

Cost 50gp

Damage 1d8 bludgeoning

Weight 10 lbs

Properties calligrapher’s advantage, two-handed

New Property: Calligrapher’s Advantage

When making an attack with a weapon that has calligrapher’s advantage and you have proficiency in calligrapher’s supplies, you use your choice of your Strength or Dexterity modifier for the attack and damage rolls. You must use the same modifier for both rolls. In addition, you can use this weapon when making an ability check with calligrapher’s supplies.
