There have been some vicious rumors going around about a D&D 5e spell that is supposedly RUINING the game.
Now, I’ve been playing Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition for several years, and I’ve yet to see a spell ruin the game. So, either we haven’t been using this spell, or it’s insidiously deceptive.
OR, maybe there’s a third option. Maybe, just maybe, this spell is NOT ruining Dungeons & Dragons!
Let’s talk, shall we?

My group thought that particular spell (not going to spoil the video rant) was greatly needed, but to weak to be worth it unless totally desperate.
Hey, when a mook throwing a rock can pretty much negate it’s effects, it’s less threatening to the scenario than a lone kobold.
Exactly! It’s an act of desperation to cast it, generally speaking. And one hit by an enemy puts the PC right back where he started. lol
