Up bright and early today and already have monsters on the mind. I asked my son, Jack for some inspiration and, as usual, he delivered with this idea:
It’s a killer flower that sprays poison at people. There are lots of little ones and they blind you.
Sounds like a swarm to me! And since my PC’s are hitting up a swamp today, I feel like it only makes sense to incorporate more wicked plants into today’s story.
Swarm of Killer Flowers
Medium swarm of Tiny plants, unaligned
Armor Class 5
Hit Points 18 (4d8)
Speed 0 ft.
Abilities Str 1 (-5), Dex 1 (-5), Con 10 (+0), Int 1 (-5), Wis 3 (-4), Cha 1 (-5)
Damage Resistances bludgeoning, piercing, slashing
Condition Immunities charmed, blinded, deafened, frightened, grappled, paralyzed, petrified, prone, restrained, stunned
Senses blindsight 10 ft. (blind beyond this radius), passive Perception 6

Swarm. The swarm can occupy another creature’s space and vice versa. The swarm can’t regain hit points or gain temporary hit points.
Actions
Poison spray. The swarm sprays poison onto one creature in the swarm’s space. The target must succeed on a DC 10 saving throw or take 7 (2d6) poison damage and become blinded. If the swarm has half of its hit points or fewer, the target has advantage on this saving throw.
