Ormyrrs for Dungeons & Dragons Fifth Edition

Sometimes, when I’m a little busier (like I have been today), and I want to make sure that I get out at least one monster for the day, I turn to my third edition books to find cool, interesting monsters to bring into fifth edition. Again, I turned to 3.0’s Monster Manual 2, where I refamiliarized myself with the ormyrr.

What is an Ormyrr?

Ormyrrs are huge, wormlike monstrous humanoids that live semi-nomadic lifestyles around temperate and warm rivers and lakes. Although these bizarre, reclusive beings have no real magic ability themselves, for whatever reason they covet magic items. Some think it’s because they hope to someday create their own ormyrrian magic. Because of this compulsion to stockpile magic items, they often find themselves at odds with adventurers.
